Aside from spending time with my beautiful wife and our 3-year-old son, most of my time is spent building out my portfolio to demonstrate what I've learned in the field of Analytics. I have a proven ability to be able to analyze data on Product, Sales, Marketing, and Compensation. I can work with big and small datasets, from Micro to Large Sized Organizations, either in Spreadsheets or using Scripting Languages. Though I've developed great confidence in my ability to work cross-functionally, I realize that it's valuable to become more specialized in a domain and skill set for my career. Now aware of this, I've become very intentional in devoting as much of my time as possible to my current goal—to get hired in Technology. Specifically, I'd like to work for a software company using Scripting Languages such as Python or SQL, and Viz tools Such as Tableau or Power BI.

 

The evolving, fast-paced environment of technology is a culture I align with. As a technical candidate working with data, there's structure and defined roadmaps to follow. I could pivot from Analytics to DS or even ML and AI if I'd like years from now. At this time, it's important for me to make a career move that will allow me to have a more stable and reliable future for my family over the next 10 years. I feel Data Analytics can provide that for me.

 

Furthermore, I appreciate the vastness of Analytics and Data Science as a whole. It's compelling to know that there's virtually no end to how much I can learn, and no limit to how dense my skill set can become within technology.
